Lenten Lunches

During the period of Lent (between Ash Wednesday and Easter), the Franklin Methodist Church will be hosting Brown Bag Devotionals. These “mountaintop experiences” which focus on the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. At Mount Moriah, Abraham’s faith is tested and strengthened. At Mount Sinai, Moses and the Israelites receive the word of God. At Mount Carmel, Elijah calls for faith and faithfulness. Jesus joins the faithful in worship at Mount Zion. On Mount Olive, Jesus assures us that we too are the children of God. Finally, at Mount Calvary, we view “God’s own sacrifice complete.”

Bring your “brown bag” lunch and join us each Wednesday during Lent from 12:00-1:00, in the Franklin Methodist Church Activities building.

Please note that in 2021 Pastor Polly recorded a Lenten Devotional each week in lieu of the weekly Lenten Lunches.  Those videos are posted below so that you can view them at your convenience.
